The Department of Economics, Management, and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) is seeking candidates for one post doc Research Fellow in Economics.

Starting Gross Salary 32.000 € approximately. Only social security contributions are due. The net salary is therefore about 28.350 € per year.

Duration: 24 months

Starting date to be mutually agreed, up to December 31st 2020.


Degree in Economics or Statistics or Demography or Sociology or Political Science or equivalent, from an Italian or foreign university. A PhD in one of the above fields is desirable, but not required. Priority is given to those holding (or being close to completion of) a PhD in Economics or related subjects.

Knowledge of language: English (knoweldge of italian is NOT required)


Candidates are expected to conduct independent research at the highest international standards in any field of Economics, and to actively collaborate to the activities of CEEDS, the Center of Excellence in Economics and Data Science ( at DEMM. They are also expected to actively participate in departmental life and seminars. The fellowship does not involve any teaching.

DEMM has also been the recipient of a generous competitive funding in the recent “Bando Dipartimenti di Eccellenza” grant, awarded by the Italian ministry of education (MIUR) and aimed at creating the Centre of Excellence in Economics and Data Science (CEEDS).
